Last Wednesday, I had the privilege of speaking at the VALD x SoccerDoc Workshop at the PSV Stadium in Eindhoven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Together with Pedro Castellon Sanchez, I presented: Speaking the Same Language in ACL Rehab \u2013 A Data-Driven Approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We shared practical examples of how we manage ACL hybrid rehabilitation together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pedro runs a high-level assessment centre at The Embassy Lab in M\u00e1laga, where athletes undergo comprehensive testing. Some of these athletes I then follow up online with training. Through VALD Hub, I can access the objective test data and video recordings when Pedro has tested which allowing us to understand the context behind the numbers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Data allows us to speak the same language and helps us align our rehabilitation strategy. But the key message was still, treat the patient and not the data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Actually data helps us ask better questions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Are the deficits what we expected?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 What is the next step in rehab?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Who owns the decision?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 What are risk and reward of the decisions we take based on the numbers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
