ACL Rehab Workshop Series at FC Copenhagen Academy

Just finished delivering the ACL Rehab Workshop Series at FC Copenhagen Academy! ⚽️

In a football club – and especially in an academy – there is always a hectic schedule with training and matches. We therefore divided the workshop into three separate days of three hours each. It turned out to be the best idea. Instead of doing nine hours straight, we went for 3 × 3 hours, which left room for much more interaction and engagement, without the usual decline in energy you get during an eight-hour workshop.

Step by step, we went through the ACL journey: from pre-op and the Aspetar Rehab Guideline, to the early phase, motor control, isometric strength testing using VALD, strength testing and velocity-based training in the gym with Vitruve, progressing into explosiveness and reactive strength using VALD force decks, and finally into return-to-run, change of direction, and on-field progressions.

The goal was to show how a criteria-based rehab approach can look in practice, bridging the gap from surgery all the way back to football.

A big thank you to Gudrun Jonsdottir for the invitation, and to all the physios, students, and interns who joined the sessions 🙏

👉 Feel free to DM me with any questions about ACLR workshops, testing, or online ACL rehab.
