New article! Injury surveillance of head and neck injuries with a special focus on sport-related concussions: An eight-season observational study in professional football in Qatar. Souhail CHEBBI, Andreas Bjerregaard, Montassar Tabben, Karim Chamari, & Louis Holtzhausen. Journal of Science and Medicine in Sport (2024), https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jsams.2024.08.202

I’m incredibly happy to see this paper published! I learned so much throughout the process, including the importance of patience during the review process, even when it takes many months. Thanks to the team, and special congratulations to Dr. Souhail Chebbi for keeping everything together.
This paper also rounds up an exceptional journey with the Aspetar Concussion Team over the last few years.
I’m especially proud of being part of the concussion rehab group, which taught me a lot about concussion treatment. I’ll miss the dynamic and the feedback we shared about our concussion patients. Thanks to @Matthew Azzopardi, Shaun Janks Jankielsohn, Dustin Maree & @Olívia Barbosa
Just before leaving Aspetar (last month), we finished updating the Aspetar Concussion patient information, which is available on the Aspetar website. https://www.aspetar.com/…/sport…/what-is-concussion
If you want to stay up-to-date with the newest Amsterdam Concussion Consensus Statement or find other highly recommended resources, I would recommend checking it out.
